Job Description
Bucket Agency seeks an individual to serve as our Iowa Market Manager and lead the next phase of growth in our Iowa office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in advertising, sales and management and will lead efforts in Business Development and Client Services, as well as facilitating the growth and achievement of the entire Iowa team.
This role is pivotal in driving our business growth and managing office operations effectively. This position combines strategic business development with operational oversight, ensuring the seamless functioning of the office while spearheading initiatives to acquire and retain clients. They will lead our Iowa office to excel in account acquisition and retention, individually and as part of the Bucket team. This role is crucial for driving Bucket Agency’s growth in Iowa and throughout the Midwest, with the focus on new business development and account supervision. The Iowa Market Manager will oversee key accounts, ensure effective communication, and guide the Iowa team to achieve their goals. They will also serve as a company liaison within the community, projecting a positive image of the organization.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Account Management
Client Communication: Maintain high-level communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations managed.
Information Dissemination: Maintain strong internal and client relationships, providing regular updates and keeping key team members informed of any significant industry or client-specific information.
Meeting Preparation: Review and summarize notes from meetings, both internal and client-facing, to ensure clarity and follow-through.
Presentation Oversight: Review and, when necessary, present client presentations to ensure they align with client objectives and agency standards.
Creative Project Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, copywriters, marketers and clients to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality advertising campaigns.
CXO Updates: Regularly update the CXO on key milestones, delays, or complications with ongoing projects.
Business Development
Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify new businesses opportunities, target markets, and industries of potential growth.
Networking: Attend industry events and networking functions to build relationships and promote Bucket Agency.
Client Outreach: Initiate contact with potential clients through cold calls, referrals, relationship building, and other outreach methods.
Lead Generation: Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to attract new clients utilizing various channels, such as social media, networking events, industry conferences, and online platforms, to find and engage potential clients. Create and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads.
Relationship Building: Build and nurture relationships with potential clients to establish trust and credibility.
RFP Management: Identify and respond to Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities to attract new business.
Office Management
Team Leadership: Guide individual team members to achieve personal and professional goals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Operational Efficiency: Ensure the office operates smoothly by overseeing administrative tasks and maintaining a positive work environment.
Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise with clients, partners, or internal teams promptly and effectively. Implement strategies to prevent future conflicts and enhance relationship quality.
Company Representation: Serve as a liaison within the community, projecting a positive image of Bucket Agency to employees, clients, vendors, and the wider community.
Team Culture: Promote a team-first environment in the office, encouraging teamwork and a collective approach to achieving goals.
Desired Skills & Experience
Proven experience in business development, client services and office management, preferably in an advertising or marketing agency.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
Ability to lead and motivate a team.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple relationships and projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of the advertising industry, including trends, best practices, and cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
