IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

Anti Human Trafficking

The Challenge:
The prevalence of human trafficking is alarmingly underestimated. Many people are unaware of the signs to watch for or how to respond to potential cases. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) asked us to develop a campaign that would not only address this issue but also motivate the community to take action.

Our Solution:
A positive, educational and empowering campaign that features a combination of styles including photography, animation and video footage. By employing this multifaceted approach, we aimed to engage the audience effectively while ensuring that the focus wasn’t solely on any particular individual or location. This strategy allowed us to make the campaign applicable to a wide range of situations.

Our Execution:
Our team started with the development of a detailed storyboard featuring custom illustrations. This storyboard served as the foundation for the creation of 30-second video clips, which would form the core of the campaign. Additionally, we crafted several illustrations and still images to be used in banner ads and social media posts, further extending the campaign’s reach and impact. Through these creative elements, we successfully conveyed a message that not only raised awareness but also encouraged proactive involvement in the fight against human trafficking.
